Broken Place AR is an augmented reality music application that offers a unique experience for music enthusiasts. Through the app, users can immerse themselves in synthesizer and groove box interfaces, utilizing their smartphone as a window into a virtual musical realm. The app introduces an innovative way to engage with music, as sound manipulation is generative, resulting in a distinct experience every time. Even subtle user interactions can drastically alter the rhythm and sound composition, adding an element of unpredictability.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use an iOS device from iPhone 6s onwards. iPad users should ensure they have a recent chip capable of handling augmented reality functionality.
The app's music interface has been carefully crafted to be operable using just one hand. By employing click/hold/rotate gestures, users can tweak various music parameters associated with the sound patches. Ongoing enhancements and refinements are planned to provide users with an enriched musical experience.
The latest version 1.1 introduces three new song patches and a convenient save/recall feature for storing patterns. The development team is actively working on additional updates to further enhance the app's capabilities. Stay tuned for forthcoming improvements!
